LGBT Jigsaw is proud to work with Zoe Zammit to deliver a range of alternative therapeutic interventions such as hypnotherapy, Nero-Lingistic Programming, and Stress Management.

Primarily  Zoe delivers hypnotherapy to young people through group and one-to-one sessions. These sessions cover issues like being a good friend, dealing with family conflict, improving self-esteem and reducing stress. 

 

The use of hypnosis and hypnotherapy has been around for thousands of years and can help you to overcome all kinds of conditions and ailments which can manifest either physically or emotionally. These vary from helping you to overcome your fears and anxieties through to the breaking of habitual cycles such as smoking and nail biting.

 

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation, which you are guided into. It’s similar to the stage between sleep and wakefulness, most people experience this on a daily basis; when day dreaming, being engrossed in a good book or watching TV.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful process because the therapist communicates with the subconscious mind directly. The subconscious is the part which stores memories, emotions, habits and dreams. Once you have been guided into relaxation, the analytical conscious mind becomes less dominant, allowing the non-analytical subconscious mind to become more aware and open to suggestion therefore having a beneficial effect. Through this communication with the subconscious, hypnotherapy can help free you of any negative beliefs or unwanted habits.

 

During hypnosis you are in complete control; remember all hypnosis is self hypnosis, you have to want to be hypnotised in order to be hypnotised.
