What is UK Young Ambassadors?

UK Young Ambassadors is a programme to give young people from the UK voice and influence in international decision-making. There are Young Ambassadors from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and they are supported by BYC and our partners Scottish Youth Parliament and Northern Ireland Youth Forum.

Who can stand?

Any young person aged 18 to 24 on the 1 November 2015 is able stand to be an International representative. To ensure gender balanced delegations to Europe and the Commonwealth, and because last year the call was for male candidates, we are SEEKING ONLY FEMALE CANDIDATES THIS YEAR *. Next year we will call again for male nominations. You must be able to commit to a two year term, be able to attend the induction and either the European or Commonwealth events and be prepared to work on the occasional weekend. You must also fulfil the requirements below. * If you identify as being transgender or non-binary, you may apply for this role.
